Your journey will begin early in the morning, around 4:15-05:00a.m.(pick up time depends on hotel location) when you will be picked up from your hotel. The starting point of your trip will be the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. On your way, you will stop in the mountains to take in the stunning panorama of Kumluca, known for its tomato production.

Next, you will arrive at Finike, an ancient seaport with a rich history. From there, you will continue to Myra, where you will see the incredible remnants of the Lycian civilization. One of the highlights of your visit will be the Necropolis, a collection of tombs intricately carved into the stone. Nearby, you will find a beautiful ancient theater. Myra’s bishop in the 4th century was St. Nicholas, who introduced Christianity to Turkey and fought against paganism. You will visit his church in Demre, which is adorned with colorful frescoes and houses his sarcophagus. The surrounding area also contains three other monuments dedicated to the saint.

After a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, you will take a short ride (about 30 minutes) to the Ucagiz port, where you will embark on a one hour cruise to the sunken Kekova island. This island was divided into several smaller islands due to an earthquake. You will explore the small and large islands, where you will find ruins of ancient buildings, fortresses, theaters, and even underwater sarcophagi. The coast boasts a glass window at the bottom, offering a glimpse of the port and numerous amphorae scattered about. If weather permits, you may even take a swim in the beautiful gulf. After the cruise, you will be taken back to your hotel.
